ABOUT
A market for the work, first.
Siamese Film & Content Market is Asia’s new home for cinema. Hosted in Bangkok and convened by the Thai film community in partnership with DEPA, TCEB and the Thailand Film Office, our first edition opens 18 November 2025.
Our Charter
Why Bangkok.
Why now.
Asia makes more films than any other continent on earth — and until Siamese, the work was being traded everywhere except here. We were going to Cannes for our co-productions, to Berlin for our financing, to AFM for our distribution, to Busan for our talent. Five flights to do one deal.
Bangkok sits at the geographic centre of the world’s largest filmmaking continent. It speaks the languages of its trade. It runs on the timezones of its partners. The infrastructure was already here. The Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre is forty minutes from Suvarnabhumi. The crews are world-class. The audiences are growing faster than anywhere in the western world.
Siamese is the answer to a question that should have been asked twenty years ago: where do Asian filmmakers sell, finance, and partner — at home?
Three commitments
The work the market does.
Capital meets craft.
We exist to put financiers, sales agents and platform leads in rooms with the directors and producers whose next film they should be making. The Project Market is the centre of gravity — sixty bonded projects, four pitch blocks, two cash awards.
Distribution finds its room.
AsiaCinemaCon — the exhibitor floor — is built for the people who actually run cinemas across the region. Distributors, exhibitors, equipment partners, and the operators who decide what plays in Manila on a Tuesday night.
Talent stays in the room.
Master the Craft is a working programme — three days of intensive sessions with cinematographers, editors, sound designers and writers who actually shipped this year. No rapper-hosted fireside chats.
Convening Partners
How we were built.
Siamese is convened by a coalition of public and private partners across Thailand. The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) are our public sector founding partners.
